football important in Ky?

I just visited the Catspause messgae board. Totals online..football-431:basketball-1100. Makes you wonder..

well.. I would assume basketball is more important since they have a much better basketball team than football.
I am not sure I would go so far as having it not important at all though.

I'm assuming "much better" is of a historical note...

As overrated as their football team is...they didn't lose to Gardner-Webb.

well yes generally speaking their basketball team has been much better.. This season might be a bust for their basketball team. Its hard to say this early in the season about that.

Bottom line, it´s easier to cheer for a winner. I despise bandwagon football fans. Start winning, and they pile on as if they were there the whole time. STart losing, and they start mocking the program, rolling their eyes, saying, "Thank God for basketball."

I think my track record here shows that I´m pretty much a gridiron guy, so yeah, we exist.
