Haven't been to a game in 15 years and don't know if I've ever been to one in the rain. Are umbrellas allowed in the stadium or just ponchos?

Also, will they still do the Vol Walk if it's raining?

wear warm clothing and your golf rain gear if you have it. Panchos help but expect to get wet no matter what. Obviously should be in orange. JK

I may be wrong but believe that the rules say no "OPEN" umbrella in the stadium. OK for the trek to/from the stadium.

You can bring an umbrella, but the cops at the gates will take it and beat you like Rodney King with it!

After the usual cavity search of course!

They sure do get violent after confiscating the good booze for themselves.

Ah, someone else is familiar with the Knoxville Police Dept on game days!!!
You can take them in but can't open them, but don't expect security to be familiar with this rule...some of my best game memories are in downpours!! I prefer sunny & 80 but that ain't happenin' tomorrow 😣
Bring a poncho!!

I was at the Ark vs UT game years back in Fayetteville and it poured rain horribly. We were unprepared for that type of rain fall, and I actually got 2 black trash bags from one of the workers, and me and my dad wore those lol. Amazing.

I like a emergency poncho from Walmart. It costs around a dollar and you can leave it behind if the rain stops. Also, empty your wallet at home before the game and bring only what you need. I think my wallet is still wet from that 1992 game vs UF

Just bought tickets for me and my son from someone at work getting rid of theirs. He doesn't know yet and I can't wait to get soaked and raspy voiced with him. It'll be his first game vs. an SEC opponent and I hope it's a good memory for years to come!

Frog toggs 30$ @ bass pro(even basspro brand is sufficient)
Haven't seen orange colored ones, hi vis chartreuse is out there but hard to find, CarHart rain gear is on point.
Army surplus should have gore-Tex military pants and jackets for a decent price and will last a while for civilian use.
Stay dry Vols! Have fun

I think it was 1973 vs Auburn. First half was beautiful but the second half it was raining so hard we were punting on first down. We still had Tartan Turf and the water had no where to go. I remember on a couple of plays one of the refs had to hold the ball down on the ground until the center came up and grabbed the ball because it kept floating out of position.
