Folks who always want to drop Bama from the schedule

There are only three kinds of people who ever wanted to drop this glorious rivalry:

pu****s, prats, and pretenders.

Or to put it a bit more diplomatically: cowards, fools, and trolls.

Go Vols!

I want the permanent rival dropped because I want more games against LSU, Arky, and A&M. We've played A&M once ?

I guess I'm a coward 😃

Orange-colored glasses, but imo the TSIO is the greatest rivalry in sports. You can keep the OSU-Michigan game, the Red River blah blah, C’s and Lakers, the Manchester Derby, all of it!

When the SEC expands and we have 3 permanent rivals and rotate the other 6 we will play everyone every 2 years and at every stadium every 4 years. Will be much better.

I would actually tend to put you more in the second category.

When I was a young Lieutenant, I was posted to Germany for 3 years. I was exposed to a world of culture over those three years, things I had never seen before. I was amazed, and super happy with the opportunity.

Then I came home and realized--you never get something without giving something else up. I'd just missed three years of American culture. Three years of Vols football seasons, three years of family and friendship and graduations and weddings and babies being born and...well, three years of American life. Back when most Americans got along much better than we do today.

Sure, you would get games more frequently against LSU and Arky and A&M. But you would lose this. You would lose last night. You would lose the Third Saturday in October being a special date.

I hope you're starting to see the benefit of sticking with the plan.

Go Vols!

I love playing Bama. Win or lose. I just want more games against different teams.

I think the permanent rival thing won't matter when the SEC expands. Everyone seems to believe we will be in the same pod with Bama.
