Ok guys Hart said moeny is not an object. Gruden deal appears to be going to sh*t. Why not go after Peterson? Throw one metric ton of money at him. I know he hasn't been mentioned heavily, but my god UT please do this to save our football program. 5 years of this crap is enough to drive a sane man mad or a mad man sane. If we hire another Dooley we are the new Ole Miss for at least the next decade.

I believe it must be someone with his track record or better and if money wasnt an issue with Gruden then it should not be an issue here either... Time to spend big to win big...

Give Peterson Gruden's offer. Bet he'd leave Boise then.hes not in the BCS this year. If we were gonna make a strong run for him this would be the time IMO.

So what happen to the last Boise HC that was fantastic at Boise and went to a real conference? Hawkins failed, just like Peterson would

I would offer Patterson before Petersen. TCU is closer to an SEC team than Boise is IMO. TCU plays great defense and has some great names on their defensive staff. I would much rather have Texas recruiting ties over the ties the Boise staff have. Both guys could win here IMO, I just think the transition would be smoother with Patterson.

Sam kind of coach at Boise and will have same result when he leaves.

You have given no facts or references, just your opinion. At least I gave you Peterson 1.0 and the results when he left.

Petersen has three less losses over the span of seven seasons than Hawkins did in five. 82-8 vs. 53-11, four Top Ten finishes vs. zero, 2 BCS bowl wins vs. zero, etc.

Doesn't Peterson's record against BCS schools and in BCS bowl games automatically make him better than Dan Hawkins?

What are you getting with Peterson most of all--an offensive spread guy? I'm seriously asking. One has to be impressed by Boise, but it's a BIG jump up to the SEC. Patterson is used to competing in a tougher conference. I like both Peterson and Patterson, Shaw and Strong. What do we need more--a spread mind or somebody who likes defense. Defense is huge in the SEC--see UT 2012 and see bama.

Money is not an issue with Petersen. He would not come to UT or any other SEC school. He may end up taking the Cal job.

Petersen isn't leaving Boise. Just stop. This discussion happens every year with every fan base, and it's ridiculous. He hasn't left before, and he sure as heck isn't leaving now.

Not sure if he can steal recruits away, but he can obviously beat Richt with 2 stars regardless lol
