Who is to say what these kids think or have going on in their lives? If Speights tries now, one has to think he won't be drafted and therefore has next to nil as a chance to make it into the NBA. But he could probably play some in Europe or something and eek out a living.

But, if he works hard in the summer and has a good year next year, he gives himself another shot at the big bucks. Like I said, he might hate it there right now. He might have something going on in his life where he'd rather not roll the dice one more time.

I think Speights will be pretty serviceable in the NBA. I do know that scouts love him though.
