Florida or Alabama? Who would you rather beat?

I'm sure this has been discussed many times, but I'm new. I think it's an interesting topic since it really does split our fanbase down the middle.

For me? It's Florida by far. I live in Florida. That's one reason. That game counts as two wins (or two losses) depending on the outcome. On top of that, I can't stand Urban Meyer and I think him running the score up last year was the most classless thing I have ever seen. I can only hope we can repay the favor this year. The Florida game last year ranks as the worst loss that I have experienced in my years as a Vol.

So, would you rather beat Florida or Alabama if you can only win one?

Welcome to the nation, well since any game vs the SEC east will count as a tie breaker id rather have a win over those 5 schools than Alabama.

Thanks. The reason I think it's an interesting question is because I think some of the older alums would rather beat Alabama. I might would feel the same way if there weren't two divisions.

It's great beating Alabama. Heck, it's great beating both. I just think the Florida game holds more importance even with the history and tradition of the Alabama game.

. . .Alabama has always been "the" game that UT fans feel we have to win each year. There have been a couple of great coaches who got run out of town because they couldn't beat 'Bama!

However. . .in the last 10 years or so, Florida has been a much more significant foe in the BCS scheme of things. :crazy: We need to beat Florida!! It also looks like Alabama is hot on the recruiting trail to get back consistently into the top 10 :question:

Let's just hunker down. . .and kick the stuffing out of both of them. I'm feeling good about this year! :victory:

Side note. . .with the Perrilloux situation and the fact that Pearl had to kick two players off the Vol team. . .I hope our football guys can toe the line and stay out of trouble!! :crossfingers:

This has been discussed many times on here and while I agree that with the conference divided now, the UF game has taken on more importance because of the tie- breaker but a conference loss is a conference loss whether it be to the East or the West. I would rather just beat the hell out of both of them but if it has to be one or the other I gotta say Bama......make no mistake about it, Bama has always been UTs biggest rival and always will be.

Bama. Yes Florida is in the SEC East, but there is nothing like handing a beatdown to those Crimson illusional idiots.

The path to the SECC is through UF.
The path to a BCS BOWL is through the SECC.
The Nation Champion might can have one loss.

So as much as I really,really,really want to beat Ala., we must beat UF to be ranked the highest and be a contender for the national championship.

Which by the way we are capable of this year. :victory:

For me its always Alabama...I respect Alabama for the history and tradition We have with them over the years and the intense rivalry that I have always ranked up there with some of the best rivalries in the country...Florida?...Pure unrivaled HATRED!!...I despise everything about UF, The people, The coaches, The players EVERYTHING!!...They are without doubt the most classless bunch of jort wearing ingrates I have ever seen and I long for the day We pound them into dust and hang half a hundred on them and beat them for 10 straight years or so and that day will come...Hopefully soon...Die Gators DIE!! :chair:

I posted this the last time....or time before, this was brought up. Either you get it or you don't....

Hate 'em both. Would love to beat them both. But if only one, I'd say Florida...simply because of the divisional tiebreaker.
