I predict that Dobbs will run many times against Florida.

I think you're right, especially based off last year's game. UF missed many, many tackles on Dobbs, and Dobbs pretty much ran wild. Tackling Dobbs will be major point of emphasis at Florida this week. I think you're going to have to beat UF with some passing at some point.

This does appear to be Butch's best chance...unless JG turns out to be a Lamar Jackson.

i don't know about that. but, and not to get too ahead of myself as we're approach game 4 of 2016, i think the future is still very bright, and JG is a big reason why.

i get why most of us are cringing at the thought of not getting it done this year, with all the departures we'll probably see....but honestly...the cupboard isn't bare. there will be new faces, sure. but i find myself feeling pretty good about the future.

the present...eh, it's week to week.:p

Those stats are from very weak foes. Not knocking their defense because FL always has a great defense but I think those numbers are questionable because of the competition. However, if we don't do better on the OL then we will be part of their recent dominance.

All 3 of Florida's opponents this year have better OLs than Tennessee...............

This is going to be a nightmare

Has anyone pointed out that Virginia Tech has the 2nd best total defense in the nation. I know it's not #1 but it's not bad. We beat those guys 45-24? right?

Florida gives up 2.59 yards/play and that's best in the country. Va Tech is 3rd at 3.34 yards/play. We gained 5.08 yards/play against the Hokies.

Last year in their first game of the season Florida gave up 3.92 yards/play to New Mexico St, then 4.16 yards/play to East Carolina, then 3.71 yards/play to Kentucky. Then we showed up and gained 5.99 yards/play against their defense.

We lost the game last year because our defense couldn't stop their juggernaut offense on 4th downs - oh - and because we apparently have a one of a kind standard confusing chart that we follow because its the right decision if you know the super inside secret way to read the chart.

Even after getting boatraced by Michigan last year Florida still finished the year ranked #8 in the nation in total defense. Only 4 teams gained more than 400 yards against their defense - TN, LSU, Alabama, & Michigan. They lost to 3 of those teams.
