I started thinking about the '06 Florida game last night. We had just come off the '05 season where we looked absolutely awful. We get a new O coordinator, and the offence starts too look better. Florida game rolls around and we get PUMPED. We only lost by 1 point. Who knows, maybe if we had a call or two go our way, maybe we could have won. We kind of have the same situation. new coaching staff that will light a fire under a players @ss, and maybe, with some improvement for the QB and o-line, we can make it a close game.

Probably not with the team Florida has but it cant hurt to wish right?

Also, I like your optimism because I'm right there with you but we also got lucky and played our big games at home that year

Im so glad the english major made his correction. So crack open a cold bud light, "Mr. Robert Frost" of the bloggers. Without you correcting blogs, every man, woman and child on this planet would never learn the english language as well as you know it! Thank God for blog police!

We have a good bit of home games this year dont we?
Bama and Florida are the only real big ones that are away.
The only big games(in conference) this year are Auburn and UGA and South Carolina IMO...If it was me I would rather go on the road to play UGA and USCjr than to go to the Swamp and Bama but maybe that's just me

Mustang package had nothing to do with losing that game, we kept them in tact in that game, what screwed us was the retarded Roughing the Passer call on Jerod Mayo for GRAZING Chris Leak's fact mask

That is correct- now I remember. Thanks for the reminder.

Yeah i think so. Man i was pissed after that game.

i remember we were up by a few kinda late and we had just got the ball back so it looked like we were gonna put up another score and ice the game,i dont remember exactly what happened next but florida got the ball back and my dad said the worst thing he could have said "Tennessee will find away to lose this game"and it just so happened he was right

We threw deep against Reggie Nelson and he picked it off because it was under thrown just a touch

Yeah thats true but if we can get our home games squared away. and maybe win one of thoes two away games then thats a 10 win year.

I hope Urban Cryer has his team so juiced up before the game that they come out with a ton of pressure and play really stupid. Combine that with solid defense and anything resembling an offense and we have a fighting chance.

....but I'm not going to be calling my bookie before the game.

it's going to take more time than some of you seem to think.

i think you have the perfect schedule for this team.

the florida and bama games are not winnable, home or away (IMO)

but, south carolina, auburn, and ucla games are and they are at home.

if it were the reverse, it would be an even more difficult year.

I agree....Its all about catching the right breaks....Carolina and Auburn we should beat, UGA will be tough, but I'm the kind that thinks we should never lose at home in front of our own crowd...I know its going to happen but I hate it...I think out of Florida and Bama the one we got the best shot at is Bama

That being said, nobody in SEC has the horses to keep up with the Gators this year unfortunately but IMO there wasn't anybody last year that did either and Ole Miss surprised them, that's why they play the games

They will probably be favored by 14-15, just a guess....I said that last year too and they were only favored by a TD
