I don't think it should matter either way, but apparently Will Grier is transferring from Florida.

Dare I say, next year is the year we end the streak..

He was going to be suspended anyway. If anything, this might help Florida as it could make their situation more attractive to a top QB recruit.

He would have still been suspended by the date of next year's game.

So, that really didn't change too much from what was already going to happen.

No. Dont dare. Maybe their coach will quit too and they will be stuck with a first year coach.....oh wait a minute, that doesnt help either. lol. I wont believe it until I see it. They've convinced me they have our number.

I feel that we always play Florida too early. It takes a few games to find your identity as a team, even if most of your talent is returning. I always thought it would be beneficial to play a cupcake first game, then Vandy and Uk, THEN start playing the really tough opponents. Just my two cents though.

But wouldn't that also apply to Florida?

It would, but it seems they when they play us is when they find their identity unfortunately. It just seems like we get better as the season goes on and I think a later matchup with them would be good. Maybe like game 6 or 7.

The stakes are going to be absurdly high when we face Florida next year.

Both teams will be close to top 10, likely picked #1 and #2 in the East by the media, and we will be on a 9-game win streak.

Hello College GameDay. Hello SEC Nation. Hello Checker Neyland.

Gotta get it done. Can't keep laying eggs against them when we've supposedly turned the corner.

Haha I hate to agree. It really does seem that no matter how poorly things are going for Florida everything comes together in time for our game.

The game has already been decided. Its just simple fate for us to lose this game.

I think that's true...but how come Florida is more ready for it than we are every year? Shouldn't they be going through the same thing?

We just have to buck up and get it done. No excuses.

I vote we leave checkering and grey jerseys on the back burner until we start winning 90% of our games.

Florida will get a very good QB. And after we beat them next year, hopefully some Vol fans will not find something to complain about the win.
