This is becoming a bit of a trend. First @lawgator1 leaves the Democrat party and is now a self-identified “Independent”. This comes after years and years and years of passionately and mindlessly defending the Democrat party. Even after it was clear the Democrats only goal was to obtain power in order to destroy this country.
Then just a few weeks back Rep. Susan Valdes decided to leave to Democrat party to join the much more effective Republican Party. “I’m tired of being the party of protesting when I got into politics to be part of the party of progress,” Valdes wrote in her statement.
And this week Rep. Hillary Cassell stated “I have been increasingly troubled by the Democratic Party's failure to unequivocally support Israel and its willingness to tolerate extreme progressive voices that justify or condone acts of terrorism," she said. "I'm constantly troubled by the inability of the current Democratic Party to relate to everyday Floridians."
I think it’s clear that the best thing EVERY Democrat can do now is to leave the party and join the GOP or register as an Independent.

Tampa's Susan Valdes jumps to GOP, adding to Florida House supermajority
Valdes, elected to the House four times as a Democrat, wrote that she didn’t expect to agree with “fellow Republicans” on every issue, but “that in their caucus, I will be welcomed and treated with respect.”

Another Democratic defection: Hillary Cassel becomes 2nd Florida lawmaker to flip parties
The Florida legislative Republican supermajority has grown yet again.
