This is kind of silly to me...your votes will count..but only half as much per person as the other states.....
I know they didn't follow the rules, but it is a little hard for me to justify the democratic citizens because of a democratic party gaffe.
Oh well...it's done...probably....
I can't believe I'm taking up for them, but I don't blame the dem voters for being angry... I understand why they decided to only count half, but at the same time it's wasn't the voters' fault.
I made a point to tune in so I could watch Harold Ickes try to talk without having his head explode. The Clintonians were desperately trying to change the rules without appearing as desperate as they truly are.I started to watch it also, but with about 2 and a half mins. of Howard Dean did it in for me.
I think theywere the greatest collection of men ever, but the loons did say black men were worth 2/3 of a white man. Maybe they should remain on their backs in their tombs wrt fractions.Should the framers of the constitution be rolling over in their graves after hearing that factions can declare that someone's vote only counts 1/2?
For my Democratic friends on the board, I want to know ..
During the 2000 election all I heard from Democrats was how every vote must count. They even went so far as to guess the intent of the voter (hanging chads, dimpled chads).
Yet they have set up a system in their own party where some delegates get half votes. In addition, if party officials do not like the results, they can override the will of the voters and select their own candidate via super delegates (party officials).
For my Democratic friends, how do you reconcile the contradiction?
This is pretty simple to answer, it's all about the rules. ......
