It’s been a busy fall for Tampa (Fla.) Carrollwood Day four-star wide receiver
Zycarl Lewis. Since Sept. 1, his phone has been “ringing” with messages from programs seeking his commitment. Lewis estimates that he has between 30 and 35 offers.
One of the schools standing out early on is
Tennessee. Lewis had a good conversation with the Volunteers’ staff when they met him for the first time at his school. Since September, he has spoken a lot more with Tennessee, including on FaceTime calls.

“The environment. The stadium,” Lewis said of reasons he’s interested in Tennessee. “The way they pass the ball. The way they get freshman in the game early.”
Lewis watches the Volunteers’ games and recognizes how different players get the ball. That is something he likes about the program, which is competing with schools including
Georgia and
Notre Dame for his commitment.
