'20 FL WR Malachi Wideman (Tennessee signee)

The kid is a receiver and the coaches are very much counting on him to pick up a lot of the slack from losing Jennings and Callaway. They are excited about him because he was an all-star against the defense on scout team this past season. Like BigorangeBoy said, he hasn't even practiced on defense since last Spring.
Not from practice reports. He catches everything.

Interesting, I had thought he was running solely at WR too, but then I saw some recent film footage of him working out in the weight room and he was working out with Trevon Flowers, Theo Jackson and Kenneth George (all of which are DBs) and now this latest projected D depth chart shows him at FS. Of course any projected depth chart from Vols Wire means little at this point and could just be complete guesswork, but one would think they would be a little more up to date than that.

FWIW, Dan Haralson took that photo...

Got me then. Maybe they was letting him catch a bunch so it will be easier to get them INT. on defense.

Ole Miss will close strong and land wide receiver
Malachi Wideman
, possibly Evans and down the road perhaps
Leonard Manuel
. Lane Kiffin will do a great job selling this offense to recruits and I expect defensive improvements in the 2021 class as well. Oh, and don’t be surprised if they steal Marc Britt from Florida.

-Mike Farrell
this is the same guy that said Florida would have a great early signing day and it ended up awful for them

Ehh I’ll be happily surprised if he is anything more than a return specialist
I'm okay with that. I'd rather have a solid non-starter be our return guy due to injury risk.

I think we'll be okay at the WR position but the real question is can we get them the ball consistently?

Agree. So many idiots and wimps think they’re flexing and being “real”. Bunch of morans.
* moron

But yes, you're right. People are very silly.
Pruitt and this staff have a roster ready to compete for Atlanta in just a little over 2 seasons. They're doing a phenomenal job.

No coach is ever consistently ranked in the top 10 year after year.

So if he gets back in the top 10 for 2021, will he all of a sudden be good again?

Lol I was referring to Atleast being in the top 50 with the kind of hype he gets, which I consider elite and being where he’s at it shouldn’t be hard if he is indeed (Elite) but he’s not even in the top 300 this year last I checked, and his only committed recruit is Tyler baron 👀👀🤷🏽‍♂️ So TIFWIW champ.
