Just caught up with 3-star DT Jordan Phillips, who was in town earlier this week unofficially. Tennessee offered after a private workout.

He's a 6-4, 300 pounder who is versatile and impressed Jean-Mary, Garner and Banks this week. Plans on coming back this month for OV at some point.

More to come on Jordan Phillips.

Agressive and active player with surprising agility. State-ranked wrestler & weightlifter. Registered 71 tackles & 5 sacks in just 8 games last year.

Phillips was impressive in Ocoee's spring game last month:

That’s the skinniest looking 300lb human I have seen in a while.

I think it's a great idea that we are going after football players that wrestle and participate in lifting competitions. I don't think we have had many DL that did that in HS.

Edit: Sneed does weightlifting as well if I remember correctly.
Back in the good ol days, we recruited a lot of those players and most became good college players.

If you listen to the Venson Sneed interview, he basically says he and Brody Foles and Jordan Phillips were trying to recruit and telling other players why they chose to commit to Tennessee.

1:20-130 mark of the VQ airport interview.
Phillips is built like a Tank. I think he is one of the 3 AP alluded to the other day.
