"I am planning to commit January 1, and when I commit, I will be locked in. I want to visit the schools on my list that I haven't visited because of my interest and how they are recruiting me, but I might be committed first.
"It will take something crazy for me to think about other schools once I commit. I want to commit early, be done with it, be able to focus on other things, and have less stress, so I plan on committing pretty soon."
He does not plan to make this decision on his own. His mother will play a role.
"I am going to follow my mom's heart," said Singletary. "She talks to every coach I talk to, she is right here with me and she will be a big part of the decision.
"I will look at other things, but the decision will really be about my mom. She will play the biggest role."
