Ok, my wife surprised me with Tennessee tickets for my birthday. The game is 9/22 Arkansas State (hey, its the wife) and at least I will likely see a rout. We have section C row 13, 13 rows from field.

As a Penn State alum but lifetime Vols fan and living in PA this will bve my first Neyland Stadium. I am so psyched, especially because by then, we will have a win over Cal and Florida.

My question, anyone have seats near this before, good seats? Anyone have a recommendation for hotels near UT?

Those are GREAT seats... Hotels are booked months in advance... I'd start calling now, I'd say the best you'll do is Lenoir City, maybe Cedar Bluff if you are willing to pay the dough...

Be sure to check all the travel sites first like orbitz and travelocity you may get closer to the stadium.

Try the Hotel St. Oliver downtown. Since Arkansas State won't send much of a crowd, there may be some rooms available.

That's awesome that your wife got tickets for you. Just out of curiosity, how did you come to be a UT fan?
To be truthful, I was a little too young to remember, but my Dad was an avid pENN sTATE FAN BUT also a college football fan in general and I can remember him having several UT games on and I believe that is how, but ever since I can remember, UT all the way. Heck, I would go to Beaver Stadium at Penn State when they were home with my friends, but away game, I was glued to the TV for UT!!!

So it's your dad's fault we can't ever beat Penn State. Just joking around with ya. Glad to have you on our side!!!!!!!!!! :clapping:

Those are great seats. Be sure to go early and enjoy the tailgating & atmosphere. Make sure you see the Vol Walk too.
