Listening to Mark on 104.5 trying to throw gas on a non existent fire. It's funny. This fire may exist in the minds of some, perhaps even yourself, but it is not real.

This TN team is talented. Very. They have depth. Now they've been tested. This was a good early wake-up call.

Looking ahead, VT will get kicked in the teeth next week.

App State impressed the hecks out of me. They have two LBs, a CB, a RB, and a couple linemen on both sides who can play with anyone at the college level and might play on Sundays. They're going to have a hecks of a year. I haven't looked at their schedule, but we may end up being their only loss. I'll be watching them the rest of the year. Very interested to see how they do.

We never went to overtime vs UAB did we? Or lose to Wyoming? Oh, yeah we did both. Last night, the Vols won a tough game. They made a lot of mistakes. May have played their worst game of the year, and that's fantastic. Snap and clear. Moving on.

Biggest improvement? It's between games one and two. We have a long break to get things worked out. JRM will be back. Get healthy.

Don't drink the tainted Kool Aid. It's bad for your mental health joojoo, and nothing is worth sacrificing your sanity.

Enjoy the season. It should be a lot of fun.

1-0. Go Vols.

Right on TN talent.
Right on App. St.
However, you seem to overlook several things that have not been fix in several years and can't be fix in one week.

"Nonexistent fire"? This team has some serious issues, a few of which have persisted for the entirety of Butch's tenure. All is surely not lost after laying an egg in game one....but if they don't take a quantum leap forward between now and September 24, they're gonna get further embarrassed and beat up and this season will be a major disappointment.

Which issues, specifically?

I will pitch in. Passing, run blocking, play calling, no pressure on qb, overall scheme on offense, nothing more than a handful of plays just run in different sets.
