Iam taking my 7 year old son to his first Tenn football game and Iam really excited about it ! I have a 4 year old son too and he wanted to go but i told him I would take him to a basketball game . Well any advice for me or what was ya'lls experience when you took your children for the first time?

Don't have any kids but took the g/f to her 1st game against SC. She was amazed at all that goes on before and during.

I still remember going to games as a kid and absolutely loved it. Just make sure to let him see it all (Vol Walk, band coming to the stadium, running thru the T, etc.) and hope he enjoys it

definitely need to get him to see the gameday activities such as volwalk, Pride of the Southland march to the stadium, player warm-ups if he is interested, POTSL pregame show/running through the T. Several other events that he might enjoy that take place around the Torch Bearer.

That reminded me about my sister's ex. He was from Chapel Hill, and went to a game at Neyland. In addition to all of the pre-game stuff that blew him away, it was the sheer stadium size that did the most. And it was against a complete nobody team in November about 5 years ago. He was... stunned, to say the least.

True Story!!!!
My son is 25 now...he was probably 4 for his first game. We were given great seats...10 rows up on the 50. I was going to get another seat in the section and let my wife and son sit together......tried for hrs. and couldn't find one.
Wife came up with brilliant plan....we waited until there was a huge crowd going in the gate...put him behind us...told other adults behind us what we were doing....we all walked in and the ticket takers never noticed him!!! The couple behind us were great...she started singing Rocky Top in an awful voice....and tix taker had no chance of seeing son walk in....)
Of course he had to sit in our laps...but,

Of course that wouldn't work today as they scan everyone...and I don't suggest ever doing anything illegal like that....but, desperate times call for desperate measures..

Have FUNN!
