The game may sucker me back in, but jury is still out right now for me. Yes the graphics are pretty but what else is there?

What else do you want? They already stated in the video that the PS4 version of MLB will be every bit as feature packed as the current version on PS3. It's not going take them 3 years to put it on equal footing with the current version's feature list, which is already insanely robust!

Diamond Dynasty is basically the only add in 2 years. I personally will not set there looking at facial hairs and new crowd renders... They are going down the same path of NCAA Football. Be a little more creative with the game.

Have they listed these features yet?

Not specifically but they said it would come day one with all of the features that are currently in the latest version and whatever else they add on top of that. TBH, I just don't see what else they NEED to add at this point. What exactly is missing that you think this game needs to address?

Diamond Dynasty has many ways it can grow, a true online franchise and not watered down version. I would like to take the offline franchise mode and play/sim with a few others on here. There is no way we could play an entire season, but the simming would be pretty entertaining IMO.

I will probably buy again since it is next-gen, but I really hope they take advantage of the capabilities of the PS4. I am still a sucker for this game, even though year after year little changes are made. Hopefully Diamond Dynasty continues to grow, and I would prefer a DD not so dependent to online.

By no way am I saying it is a bad game, but just let it keep evolving outside of the graphics. I should get a kickback from PS for persuading so many people on here to buy a PS3 just for this game. :)

DD wishes I agree with...

1. Ability to play your DD team against your friends online. I don't care about playing "ranked" games against somebody I don't know.

2. Ability to play your DD custom team in offline modes like exhibition and rivalry modes.

1. offline schedule

2. Bigger rewards offline. I don't like wasting my time with online play.

I would prefer building a team offline by winning games and buying cards packs and on occasion play a friend online with his DD team. I could careless of playing it online with people that take advantage of the game just to get ranked on the leader-board. Takes the fun out of it. Maybe even if you are playing a friend, you could wager points and/or a card...

The issue with sports games is that, well, baseball is baseball. They can only go so far with it before it gets stale. It's a good game, but i haven't missed playing it, once you're in MLB as a regular it becomes more of a time killer than anything particularly enjoyable

Ha! Funny, I feel the exact same way about Call of Duty!

Call of Duty is the best and most innovative series ever, moron.

:eek:lol: Yeah, about 6 years ago! Ever since then they have been milking this franchise to death. Battlefield has overtaken this series in terms of innovation. But hey, if you like paying 60.00 a year for what is essentially the same game then more power to you.

From playstation blog:

Without revealing too much, we did want to give you a taste of some of the many advancements we’re making to the product for 2014. Here are just a few:

•We know how much time and effort our fans put into their Seasons, Franchises, and Road To The Show players. So beginning with MLB 14 The Show, you can now carry over your saves to future versions of MLB The Show. MLB 14 The Show lays the foundation for year-to-year saves, meaning you never have to worry about starting your Franchise or Road to the Show seasons over!
•Thanks to the power of PS4, MLB 14 The Show is going to be the most beautiful baseball product we’ve ever created.
•For some of you, full 9-inning baseball games may be too long for your liking, so we’ve created an all-new Quick Counts option, which utilizes generated pitch counts allowing gamers to play through full games faster than ever. Realistic statistics in this shortened gameplay experience have not been compromised. Users will now be able to play a full 9 inning game in less than 30 minutes, essentially cutting traditional game times in half.
•We think Road To The Show is the deepest, most realistic single-player experience in sports video games, and we’re making it even better. A few of the new features include a new advancement system, new intuitive player creation process, and all new pre-draft prospect showcase.
•And finally, what makes baseball great are those “big moments.” The power of PS4 will allow gamers to share those moments using the new “share feature” by capturing and publishing their most thrilling baseball moments, from hitting a game-winning grand slam, to picking off a runner at first for a crucial win in a World Series game.
