I have a PS3 and have a couple of first person shooters games. Do any of you play any PC FPS online like novalogic games? There is really no comparison playing online with COD4 and novalogics IC game.

played all the DF series. DF was my first online FPS but lloved DF2 @ and BHD. Played BF2 and MOH for a while after they came out but haven't picked one up in a while.

PC gaming>>>console any day

What version is better for COD4? Computer or PS3

To me novalogic escalation and the mod IC is far better. For me COD4 was a waste of money. Novalogic PC games there is tanks, helicopters, humvees, all kind of stuff u can drive and fight in. Also has TDM (team death matches) where ur teammates can fly or fight in the equipment with you. So much more stuff you can do in the novalogic games. I was just throwing this out there cause I see there is alot of folks that like that COD4 but there is a whole lot more gameplay in novalogic games.

Sorry but IMO NL ruined the series with JO. It was terrible (glitchy) gameplay and they way overloaded the weapons and put too much emphasis on vehicles. Most of the players who started with DF felt the same and left the series

I still think a mouse + keyboard combo is the superior method of control for nearly any type game with a few exceptions (like racing/flying/fighting).

I think you're discounting the value of being able to hit the power button on the 360/PS3 and fairly instantly have the game running with a list of all your buddies online and a click away.

Who wants to sit in a office chair with your mouse in one hand and the keyboard in the other? Just give me the recliner, a sweet tea, cod4, surround sound, and the ol' 360 and I am as happy as a preist at boyscout camp.

Agreed. Put them both in the same game and there would be controllers flying thru computer screens.

It may take an extra minute with a comp but that's about it. I also never worried whether it would boot or not.

If there's a well-built computer, I'll take it over a console nine times out of ten for any genre of video game.

Problem is getting that computer up to date.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying it's better or making a judgement either way. But the fact of the matter is it's only a minute or two more on the PC. But, wait till the next game comes out. I'll be playing in roughly the same minute of start up time...PC is still installing. I'm leveling up, the PC guy is tweaking his resolution, shadow details, anti-alaising settings, etc.

I play on both. I just think discounting console gaming, even for fps games, sometimes doesn't take everything into account.
