This is the first time my wife and I are coming to a game at Neyland, and we are ready. We are staying at the Holiday Inn near the world's fair park, arriving Fri evening. Suggestions are needed for food, live music (rock, texas country) and things to do for first timers. We would really like to see the Vol Walk - what time does that take place?
Any help will be appreciated with the buying of an adult beverage:).

Buy beer at Walgreens on the strip. Worked for me. The Vol Walk starts 2 hours and 15 minutes before game time I believe and the band marches down an hour and 40 minutes before the game.

Did they require a two night stay at the Holiday Inn? How long ago did you all make reservations? They usually fill up quick. Or at least I thought they did.

Have a safe trip. Also don't be surprised if your wife hates it.

my wife has wanted to do this forever; I've been dragging my feet - don't much care for crowds

I'll be at the Holiday Inn around 6/7ish myself. Heading down from WV. If you see a loud obnoxious blue corvette around, that'll be me!! Where would be a good place to go and watch the WVU/Marshall game?
