Firing?

When you are given a guaranteed contract (buyout) for huge money, other than personal drive, what is your incentive to go the extra 100 miles to win championships. After giving such a contract to a coach how do you deal with them as an AD?

I have always wondered about that question. I know all coaches want to win but how motivated are you to keep putting in 15 hr days, 7 days a week, for 10 mths of the year, just made that up but HC's put in long hrs and days, when you know you have a $25M buyoff if they fire you.

Stop with the firing nonsense. Head coaches in no way shape or form should be held accountable for the product they put on the field or the decisions they make. Accountability is a silly word.
Yeah head coaches should be blamed for everything though right? God forbid anyone say that the players should’ve held accountable.

Yes they should actually. It’s what they get paid to do. If someone is personally failing, and you’re right there are plenty of players to put blame on, it’s the coaches job to have them executing better 7 days later.

It is their literal job to develop week to week.
