Finish 6-6, make a lower-tier bowl. What will be your reaction...

when UT is sitting at 5-5 again a year from now? The odds of this happening are highly favorable, and we all know it. 2010 is going to be the toughest season for Vol fans to swallow, IMO.

We will be 7-5. We beat Vandy and UK last year even after losing to Wyoming.

2010 is going to be very tough. We all need to accept that now so we don't freak out. I'm very disappointed to see the "the sky is falling" crowd out in full force. We all knew the problems we had coming into this season. It isn't the end of the world, and we need to be willing to give this staff some time and deal with these crappy losses.

We all know nothing of the sort. We had a bad game today for a multitude of reasons but this team will beat Vandy and Kentucky on a year in-year out basis forever. The sked next year is favorable and we will have more of Kiffins recruits in and more of Fulmers guys out....

Wait wait....so who are you having us lose to in the next two weeks?

The 2 win vanderbilt team or the UK team who's starting QB is lost for the season?

I just realized Lamarcus is O.K. but our LB corp is seriously depleted without him and we could lose to KY with our depth at LB and no JJ

I think he is talking about next year -- 2010 --being 6-6. I would say "wait til next year". But I do not think that will be the case. We now have guys that know the lingo better, another year of strength and conditioning, and enough "help right away recruiting" to keep us at the 7-5 or 8-4 range. That isn't great, but it'll have us saying "wait til next year"

The sky is falling, the sky is falling everybody just take a deep breath and remeber we are playing Vandy and Kentucky the next two weeks give coach O some credit Ole Miss is loaded with talent and Vandy and Kentucky are nowhere near them.

this is a UK that hasnt been playing well all year really save a game versus vanderbilt

and now has been having to play a WR at it's QB due to injury. This team would have to play worse than they did today to lose that game

6-6 is never good. I don't care who the coach is. This is Tennessee, it isn't Vandy. :cool2:

Have you seen next year's schedule? We switch out UCLA and Auburn for Oregon (Knoxville) and LSU (Baton Rouge). I would say that makes the schedule just a tad bit harder than this years.

The thing that is going to help us next year is some of these guys coming in next year will be here for spring practice.

If you mean 2009, no way we lose to Kentucky or Vandy. If you mean 2010 no way we lose 6 games. Tough schedule but we will be much improved with players knowing the system. 5 guaranteed wins- UTM, UAB, Memphis, Vandy, Kentucky. Ole Miss, Bama, Florida, Oregon all at home(win 2 of 4). Georgia, Cocks, LSU on road(win 2of 3). I see 9-3, 8-4 but much more competitive talent wise just young.
