Paul Finebaum crushes former Alabama QB's bold prediction on Jeremy Pruitt-Kirby Smart

“I think Jeremy Pruitt has a chance to be successful at Tennessee, but that is an uphill climb in terms of turning that program around"......

Misquote with the purpose of spinning a narrative I see. He actually said “that is an uphill climb in terms of turning that program around AT THE SAME SPEED that Kirby did.”

Much different quote and it isn’t shade at all. It’s true. Pruitt doesn’t have the roster that Kirby inherited

So Pruitt has a "Chance" to be successful at UT, which is true with pretty much anyone, but its going to be an uphill battle, which is true of anyone.

Yea, he right.

Yeah, but if he didnt do that then it gets harder to hold the whole everyone hates us narrative.

Yeah.... not seeing the inaccuracy here. There is, in fact a chance Pruitt succeeds, and honestly we had the worst team in the SEC last year. Smart walked into a situation with senior leadership and a team that was winning 9 or 10 games a year before he came in. Comparing the two situations is laughable.

Someone needs to stop being so sensitive.

Either dial back the sensitivity or take any agendas one may have and leave them at the door. I wonder how one gets "throwing shade" from those words from Finebaum. Anyone who has heard Finebaum commenting on Jeremy Pruitt knows that Finebaum likes the guy and believes he is a good coach.

There's no shade here. Hill Man, you manufactured fake shade by leaving off the rest of the line you quoted:

the article: said:
“I think Jeremy Pruitt has a chance to be successful at Tennessee, but that is an uphill climb in terms of turning that program around with the same speed that Kirby Smart did."

Those last 8 words make all the difference.

Fess up, brother, you manufactured controversy where there is none.

Heck, for that matter, even Finebaum and Wilson aren't really disagreeing, as noted at the end of the article.

Finebaum is correct...

But I've never seen the hounds come out to defend Pawl on VolNation. Strange times we live in.
