Finebaum picked us!

Considering that for years he has both lived and worked in the middle of Bama country, it is easy to see why he cast his lot with Bama. He recognized who his core audience was for many years.

Now, he is the face of the SEC network and, as a result thereof, is one of the chief voices for the entire conference. Like any intelligent person, he has adjusted his presentation accordingly.
That man has a face made for radio though.

Finebaun is in business! He plays to his audience! Bammers are nervous because we have steadily improved since Butch arrived and they feel their run is threatened.

Any intelligent person in his position would know they can up their ratings by stirring up the knuckle-dragging fans with his current dialogue. It's all a shrewd script to improve business. Roll turd fans are running all over the state to get the transplanted citizens to dial Finebaum's number for them to rant, and that makes for good business for him!

GO VOLS,!!

This is so correct, he plays the same script game as they do in Pro wrestling. To pique the knuckle draggers rage all across the SEC. Ergo ratings equal happy ESPN equal pay raise for PF. The narrative will change when needed.

You said he turned his back on Tennessee.

I'm asking you how did he do that? Because he didn't hype up our garbage teams in the past.

Finebaum is a logical fan. He knew Tennessee was nothing the last 10 years so why talk about them. Now they're legit and he's using his brain to pick us as the winner.

Who is "our"? Don't use words like that you bandwagon pos.

Nope. We're just both sensible enough to see when a team is bad and when it's good.

For the last decade Tennessee has been garbage thus Finebaum has had no reason to say anything positive about Tennessee. Now we're actually good and thus deserving of positive press.

That's how the world works.

Quit using words like "our" and "we" dammit. OUR team doesn't want your support and WE would love it if you freaking left.

I do have to say....Finebaum seems to do a pretty good job of staying objective, regardless of the school. Especially when he has radical whack-o's that call in daily, living in hyperbole.

Finebaum just picked us to win the East!! Is the world ending!? He said the only team we will lose to is Bama, but it would be a blood bath in the championship game! We're going to be the 2016 Natl Champs!

I've tried to watch PF on TV but the man looks like he is severely depressed all the time. I have to shake my head in amazement as to how this dolt is on TV. He is not an attractive person and his personality is non-existent. GBO

Too many people hate Finebaum. I like the guy. He is at least an entertaining analyst, and he was the only one at SEC Media Days to ask Saban the tough questions that everyone else was too afraid to ask. He isn't afraid of Darth Saban like most of the other media.

I get that people hate that he "turned his back" for a few years, but can you really blame many of the media for not trying to claim us during the years we were a laughing stock of the SEC? He has a career he has to look out for, and I'm sure singing the praises of certain other programs definitely increased his viewership.

To me, he probably has always been a closet Tennessee fan, it's just he can finally show a little bit of homerism without people in the industry looking at him and thinking he is crazy and has no idea what he is talking about.

I didn't plan to post in this thread again because I really didn't care that D4H is completely ignorant on why people don't like Finebaum. He's not a UT fan so I didn't expect him too.

As for you and a few others, take the time to learn about him twisting the Bama investigation against UT and Fulmer.
That while it was Spurrier that turned them in and several coaches gave additional testimony, PF managed to spin it into an attack by the evil UT. From which death threats etc. followed.
The lies, the hate speech, the,
NM. I expect nothing from someone as clueless as D4H but the rest of you, you should ask a question before telling UT fans who they should or shouldn't like.
It's been said a hundred times and I pray one day it is finally realized.
All the stuff said about PF goes so far past "him not picking us in a game."
