Finally getting some love-Gary Danielson

Interesting his comments on how dysfunctional florida is... and that means something because he's been there and seen it with his own eyes.

Yeah but I'm not going to look too much into it. They have the athletes to be a good team without being well organized. You can't be dysfunctional and win a championship but you can be dysfuntional and beat Tennessee.

i was very surprised to read what he had to say about FLA. I expect FLA to have a hard time with the coaching change but his words are a surprise to me. I'm also glad to see someone giving Tenn some love for a change

Alabama is easy to see as a NC contender.

I'm really baffled by Les Miles and LSU. How long are they going to put up with his nonsense? They need a Saban-type coach to take all that raw power and translate it into consistent results. It's hard to get behind them with Miles at the helm.

Georgia plays like a bunch of weenies because their coach is a weenie.

Florida is young and has an uncertain coaching situation. Recipe for disaster... or maybe great success? Florida is like a penny stock right now. Who knows?

The Vols are going to be inconsistent because of youth as opposed to some defect in the leadership from the coaches. So, if he thinks Dooley et al. are doing it right, then I get how and why he sees us as a sleeper.

Good analysis from a fair guy IMHO.

Gary Danielson also has good insights and never goes for "shock value" commentary

Verne Lunquist can only say "Wow!" to anything meaningful happening in a game. Needs to move along.

I've always like Sean McDonough as a play by play guy. Maybe it's because he did many of the CBS games in UT's championship run in 98

I like McDonough as well, but probably for the same reason. I keep reliving the "stumble and fumble" over and over

Kind of sounded like Danielson was talking about last years Gator team. I don't think he'd be calling out UF's coaches and players before they ever got on the field this year.

Georgia is bigger, stronger, faster... and looks more promising on D? This seems to be Gary's view, and I don't really know.... what do you guys think?

Hard to believe he describes UF as the worst train wreck he's ever seen in the offseason--did he miss our offseason the year Kiffhole bolted for the left coast?

Maybe then again you never know how team chemistry is. I mean look at the quote from Jenkins that he would be a Gator if Urban was still there. I got a feeling that Muschamp has some that arent buying into his philosiphy yet. That could be major issues for them this year.

I think you are correct after re-reading.

However, I do think that to an extent, he was extrapolating their issues last year into his projections for 2011. He doesn't appear to expect much out of florida this year. Its been a while since that type of scenario.

My take on it is that he's referring to UF this year. Just a hunch,,,but I don't see the chemistry between Muschamp and Weiss. My guess is that Weiss will be causing more problems than what he's worth. Muschamp,,young,,first HC job,,Weiss,,,old salt,,his offense sucked at ND the past couple of years........

He likes us as a sleeper team. I'm not really surprised with that one. We could be this season's Mississippi State (did I really just say that?). With that said, I'm cautiously optimistic.

Gus Johnson>Lunquist. I would love to have him as our CBS play by play guy.
