Final game of UT-Bammer Series?

I'd hate to see the game go away, but moving Auburn east is the move that makes the most sense geographically if Missouri gets added. 20 years ago we were playing Auburn and Ole Miss every year and there was no hint of a rivalry with either Georgia or Florida. Things just change sometimes.

I'm going to be very disappointed if we don't continue this rivalry. Damn greed is ruining our rivalries. Surely they can come up with something.

Fulmer and Kiffin ran us into the ground. And until Dooley get's us back on top. We will be beating Alabama and Florida in a few yrs.

Having trouble with the "makes the most sense geographically" part with Missouri already in the "East"

Keep Bama vs. UT. If Missouri can be east with 'Bama west, then certainly 'Bama can be east with Auburn west.

Obviously, I'm assuming that Missouri would be in the West in that scenario and Auburn would hop divisions since Auburn, AL is only about 30 miles from the Georgia line and is actually farther east than Vandy is.

UT/UGA and UT/UF doesn't have anywhere near the history of UT/Bama

Missouri in the East isn't actually that strange geographically (with the exception of the name "East"). They're closer to Kentucky and Vandy than Ole Miss and MSU. Closer to UT than LSU. Closer to Georgia than Texas A&M.

Missouri is just a long way from everywhere except Arkansas. Although, as removed as they seem, the trip from Knoxville to Missouri isn't much longer than the trip to Florida.

Adding one to the east, and one to west just makes too much sense. It's not that "un-geographical" if you will...

I hope not. Plus I think both schools will try to keep it

What about this scenario:

Inner Region- UT, Vandy, Georgia, Auburn, Alabama, Miss St, Ole Miss

Outer region- Texas A&M, LSU, Florida, South Carolina, Missouri, Arkansas, Kentucky

Thoughts??

Never seen anyone pose that alignment. Although, it would be a little unfair for the outer region since they would have to travel much farther.

i wouldn't mind if we no longer played ala on an annual basis. we play every other team from the west in home and away series that rotate from year to year. we'd still play them pretty frequently plus the possibility of the sec championship game. we need to rebuild and i think we need all the relief we can get. think about it...this current team we have would be competitive in some conferences. there are just so many good teams in the sec we don't need ala. we'll still have uf, ga, au, sc every year...then tam, al, ak, lsu, and ms, and mo rotating

Depending on what the score is, we might wish it was the last game.

(I'm joking, I think.)

I'd be ok with a North/South split.

North: UT, Vandy, UK, Mizzou, Ole Miss, Arky, USCjr

South: Bama, Auburn, UGA, UF, LSU, Ms. St., aTm

I like this :) Although, not very even talent-wise.
