Looking at the way the coaches voted, the idea of determining the national championship game from polls is weak at best.

Bobby Bowden, Hal Mumme, Mike Riley and Mac Brown all didn't think the Vols belong in the final Top 25. Interesting.:blink:

Mack Brown probably did it in a failed attempt to get his team ranked ahead of the real UT.

I think it had more to do with trying to get his team in the national title by putting those teams ranked ahead of the likes of LSU,UGA, and USC.
