My impression is that folks are merely excited to be reading about the game they love again.

In fact, in season reporting is no different than what we see now. The responses to questions about wins, losses, or the next opponent vary little. We love the team, and want to hear those nearest the program talk about the thing we love. It is the reason VolNation is the explosive device that it is. It is the reason newspaper circulation expands in football season. It is love of the game. And that is never pathetic.

As GAVol has pointed out more than once, it is a fluff piece on a fan board. People are going to post them in the offseason. The fact that it seems to bother you so is the reason for the "other"

This morning on Memphis radio we had the weekly session with Jimmy Sexton. He was asked how he is prepping his coaches for media days. He said he has worked a lot with Nutt since he will be fielding questions about unknown future at UAF. He has no way to prepare Saban, becuase those nuts in alabama ask silly questions like how many blades of grass are there on the field. And Fulmer is in good shape with nothing to worry about.

The pieces don't bother me as they are what they are. That people post threads and links to them and then others join in going "yippeee" drives me nuts.

I still find it funny that you are so outraged on what you find on a rival's fan board. I personally rarely come into the main forum most of the time and if I see a topic that I think will not be interesting, I simply do not click on it. Give it a try.
