I really haven't been much for video games lately, but a friend of mine recently cracked a Dreamcast of his to play Japanese Neo Geo ports. A game I ended up playing a lot as a result was an old SNK classic, King Of Fighters.

Anybody else big on fighting games? Especially old school Capcom or SNK ones.

Tekken 6 is awesome! I still play DOA 4 sometimes.... I dunno, fighting games seem to be slowing dying.... there needs to be a new idea that rocks the genre- like Mortal Kombat did back in the 90's.

speaking of old fighting games- one of the most underrated fighting games for the PS1 was the Wu Tang: Shaolin Style.

That game was beast for it's time. It had a 4 player (every man for himself) mode which was a blast for parties.

Wu-Tang was great.

I've always liked Tekken in a way, especially playing against CPU and trying to master combos. Especially with King. But the way they've got it set up, the game rewards button mashing which really takes the skill out of winning head to head. DOA games have always been okay, but the best fighter of the 3d generation has to be the original Soul Calibur for DC. Easily one of the best games of the last decade or so.

My brother had the SNES plugged in recently and managed to dig up a copy of Street Fighter Alpha II. Brought up childhood memories with elementary school friends over playing tournaments. Nobody got to be Dhalsim.

Dhalsim - biggest scrub fighting charater ever known. Not even Eddie Gordo cheese can match the Dhalsim attack.

I'm still going with Raiden and the flying attack for that one. Once you could do it rapid fire, indefensible.
