I was overly impressed with the amount of fight the squad had last night. They were obviously extremely overwhelmed out of the gate with Iowa's ridiculously tall and long and athletic players. I think they were shocked by it, coupled with the nerves of the tourney. The Vols gritted out a win like no other I can remember in recent history. Martin's teams may not be "sexy" at times but they are tough as nails. Multiple times the Vols could have folded it up and packed it in. It seemed like they were closing the gap to 1,2, 3 and 5 points but couldn't get over the hump. Finally they did!!! Josh Richardson was the star last night. Stokes stood his ground and started to physically take over late. Tremendous free throw shooting (late) and a couple of veteran moments by Barton sealed the deal. Hats off to the Big Orange, who rose to the occasion and found any way possible to grind it out. GBO!!! Hopefully a more relaxed and controlled win over UMASS is ahead.....

When stokes got that foul... FL game was flashing in front of my eyes.... I thought we would give up at that point. Cuonzo's team came out of adversity this time!! Very Impressive.
