Fifa 13

Everything you just described has been a problem with this game for years.

Yes, to some extent. Particularly the lesser opponents always "playing up" and the horrible switching mechanic. I don't however remember the CPU controlled players being SO passive on loose balls for your team and the CPU's long passing game being SO deadly. I've played this game with pretty good success for the 5+ years on World Class difficulty, and I'll probably just give up on the year's game before I have to take a step down just to win games.

I love the game, the realistic of first touch is great. I play on PS3 and when the ball is coming to me I pull L2 and it helps with the ball not bouncing off my player like crazy. It also depends on the players skill level.

This works pretty well, but the randomness of it is what makes it so frustrating. Sometimes even great players will just have a terrible first touch out of the blue, which I concede is much more realistic, but also much more annoying when I've been playing the game for years and it never happened that way.

Adjusting your custom tactics will probably help. Adjusting sliders seems like a way to make the game easier, according to your weakness. My only beef with the game is that in one ut match today the ball was invisible. I won 5-3 though. Epic game.

For some things it does. No amount of adjusting the aggressiveness of your play will get your team to blanket the other team on defense the way the CPU does to you. No matter what, your guys are going to be standing 10 yards off the ball at all times, and you can only control one (sort of two) defenders at a time.

Two other small complaints, but these aren't just about this years game.

-Can they not make some way that when a ball is OBVIOUSLY going out of bounds that your players, even when in your control don't HAVE to chase it. It's kind of annoying when a guy locks onto a ball that's on it's way out only to have him touch it a the last second and give possession to the other team. This is particularly annoying when you're about to win a corner. This has been an issue for years.

-There are just generally too many goals in this game. This was the case last year and is back again. I remember several years ago that you could play 10 minute halves and still get a 1-0 or 2-1 sort of game. Now, with 10 minute halves, you're lucky if the losing team only has 3 goals. That's just too many and is horribly unrealistic.

World Class is meant to be hard and unforgiving of mistakes. Wahhh. Nothing important bc, just gonna bs with ya.

On your first point, right and left trigger at the same time cancels the sprint.

Does it completely eliminate the forcefield that draws the players to the ball on the endline after the goalie blocks a shot? If so that's good to know.

I want so badly to like this game because the career mode has so much potential, but I'm pretty sure this broke-ass gameplay is going to wind up with me sending a controller through my TV if I bother with it much longer. As much as I never would have thought I'd do this, I'll probably end up trading this when Black Ops 2 comes out in a couple weeks. No game is worth this much frustration.
