I know a lot of people here wouldn't care if soccer ceased to exist today, but if anyone other than me likes the game, then you would really enjoy this game. Most realistic soccer game I have played.

Been playing the crap outta FIFA 07 for the last month or so.

I really enjoyed the World Cup version last summer, and Champions League has gotten me back into it. I hate that you're limited to 15 years in manager mode though... my Man. U. manager only has about 3 years left in him. I started an LA Galaxy dynasty now to up the difficulty. The game really shows the rift in talent between MLS and Premiere League or other european leagues. Interesting stuff.

I started out playing on Amateur to learn the game. I am now playing on World Class, and rarely even tie. Of course, one of the secrets, especially in Premiere League is to have the best players available. That's more difficult to do with MLS teams, where the budgets are so small.

Evidently there is another difficulty above World Class, but you have to complete a bunch of the accomplishments to unlock it. :dunno:

I can't get better players. How do you get them on the market? On the market, there are few good players.

They don't necessarily have to be available for transfer. If you are a big club like Manchester United, Liverpool, Chelsea, PSV, Bayern, Real Madrid, etc. then you should have plenty of cash to throw away to other clubs to get them to sell you the best players. Just when you go to search the market change the league to all, and at the bottom change "available for transfer" to "any". Find the best guy at the position you want to upgrade and make an offer that the club, nor he, can refuse. I usually bump up the transfer offer a few notches, as well as the player's salary per game. It is also important to have your negotiator upgraded to max.

My Man. U. manager literally has 15 of the top 18 or so players in the game on his squad. The only current players that I have retained are Ronaldo and Rooney. I actually have a striker that is better than Rooney. :whistling:

When you hit the black button to search you can scroll up and down through the fields and hit left or right to change the options.

I figured it out, but I think we are talking about different consoles here. Doesn't matter, I got it. :)

I love the game, have had a blast with it since i got it, but still can't stand real life soccer. Not for lack of effort, i try to like it, but just can't get into it.

OOOH. You playing on a 360 or PS2?

Anyway... I enjoy it. Once I get tired of how things are going with my Galaxy team I will probably try and complete the accomplishments required to unlock the 5th difficulty...

Next year, they need to put in a shootout mode. You wouldn't believe the amount of games I have intenionally tied w/ the CPU so I can do a shootout.
