Petrozavodsk. It's pretty north (next to a lake) and is actually on land once controlled by Finland. One of my parents is actually Finnish so I guess technically I'm half Russian.

Been in the states since I was 3. Spoke Russian for a while but stopped using it when I started school and so now I sound 100% American lulz.

I would have kept speaking Russian, very angry sounding language. Lol Real talk though, glad that you got adopted by a good family so many kids end up in horrible situations or become a statistic. I would imagine Russia would be a thousand times worse than here.

I was learning it from a Russian lady. Kinda sad I didn't learn it too but oh well. What's done is done.

Sometimes I honestly forget i'm adopted lol. I haven't really thought of it in the last few months. But other times I think about it constantly. Strange how it works.

I know it was a humorous comment but it's actually been a very serious issue.

The Russians have worked hard to stop adoptions (specifically by USA couple) and have even stopped numerous adoptions in the middle of the adoption process. Worse than that, they've had some children sent back and even talk of all kids adopted since sometime during the 90s being sent back as arose.

Russia in general is a really idiotic country. Sure, I understand being mad at some a of stupid americans...but to group all Americans together is ridiculous and annoys me so much.

I wish Russia would step up and join the modern era. Their still scared of the world and being cowards when it comes to international problems. Their solution is to accuse others of being bad, when they themselves are one of the worse countries.

Let the kids out. God knows it benefited me leaving the ****hole that Russia is socially. I appreciate the culture (Russians in general are fantastic people), but the government is hilariously retarded.

True story but the best example of an Eagle Scout I've ever known or worked with was an adopted Polish kid. Socially he's a little unique but it's because essentially he spent his first 2 years in a crib in an orphanage and no one ever talked to or held him. Tragic but he turned out awesome.
