Tell Me who is your Favorite Tennessee Player of All time besides Peyton Manning and why......

I'll go first.
My fav. would have to be Jason Witten. I like him because he had alot of heart and determination in he's few years at UT. He is also local around from were I live.

I always liked Willie Gault. He played during the time I attended UT and besides being the most exciting player on the field, he was a really nice guy off.

Thomas "TD" Woods. He wasn't flashy, but he was dependable. He always found a way to get open, and he usually made the tough catch. He also went to Gallatin High School.

Did you go to Gallatin? I remember those Green Wave teams. They were awesome!! I saw them in the Clinic Bowl when I was a little kid. TD Woods and Vandy's own Carl "Goo Baby" Woods. Didn't Chris Gaines go to Gallatin too?

Guess I would have to say Hacksaw Reynolds because when he hit you, you darn well knew you had been HIT!

I just wanted to make it clear that I didn't mean to say that Peyton Manning was a bad choice.I LOVE Peyton Manning! I just wanted a different variety of players to make the topic more interesting. If Peyton Manning is the only player you like, then go ahead and put it down. This was just for fun. :eek:k:

Yeah, those were the good ole days. We were the team to beat in the state every year till Coach Short left. We're slowly starting to get back there. I graduated in 87, two years after TD. Goo Baby was awesome too, and so was Arnez Perry. I used to kid Arnez that if he'd worn orange on Saturdays he'd have played on Sundays :D

Eric Westmoreland and Raynoch Thompson. @ of the most underrated LB's to come through UT. Westmoreland was very quiet and let his play do the talking. Raynoch was undersized and still played tougher than most taking on huge offensive lineman. Will never forget Westmoreland's hits at Vandy and on Outzen in the National Championship game and will never forget raynoch's tackle on the goaline stand at Auburn in 1998.

Man, there's too many to name, but if I had to pick one  during the last decade-Peerless Price!
Old 'Wide Receiver U!" Prior to the last 10 years, I'd have to go back and check who the running backs and WR's were, plus a few QB's. Johhny Mills (grad of Elizabethton) was a good WR during his time too.

Nilo Sylvan was in one of my spanish classes. He came in the very first day, skipped the rest of the semester, came back to take the final exam, the teacher said, "Hola!" and Nilo said, "Huh?"

It was hilarious, embarrassing, and sad all at the same time.
