okay, i know there has been a lot of Chris Low hate lately. i noticed that he didnt say much about neyland on his list of favorite stadiums, and only had it as #3. isnt he a vol grad? not to mention he reported on the vols for how many years. surely he mustve seen a few games from in the stands and on the field...

My favorite stadiums in the SEC - SEC - ESPN

ill give him tiger stadium. but Bryant-Denny? its good to be better than florida though :)

I like how at the end he had to start making stuff up to avoid calling them pieces of crap.....Low does not want to make the wrong people mad I guess....

Auburn is much better than Alabama. Low must be Saban's new boy.

I hope that pig faced blowhard is not a UT alum to have Neyland at #3.

What a buffoon.

your home stadium is your #1 pick regardless if it is a peice of crap or not. It's a Pride thing.

Not when you are media. It is a called being objective. If everything he wrote was positive and about Tennessee ESPN would fire him in a second.

Give the guy a break. You can't please everyone. It's called an opinion and I am sure not all of us on here would agree with yours.

i wasn't trying to be hard on the guy, but you are right.

Bryant-Denny Stadium....96,000 people, 4 last names...I'll agree with Tiger Stadium but Bryant Denny is questionable

I have heard that the Bama stadium is nice, but you still have to go to Tuscaloosa. I think it is important to keep in mind that he was talking about "stadiums" and not total gameday experience where things like Vol Walk, Vol Navy and general atmosphere along the strip might give UTK an edge over schools like Bama, while also greatly elevating schools like Ole Miss and UGA where the stadium may not be all that special but the overall experience is outstanding.

How is an article about "My Favorite Stadiums" meant to be established as objective, though? If it's not accurately how he feels (or he feels worried about "homerism" commentary) then the article shouldn't be written. If it is how he feels and he's serious that two stadiums are better than Neyland in his own experience, then it doesn't bother me other than the fact he's wrong. :)

Ole Miss is great. Only been down there once but we had an awesome time.

I like Florida's stadium, but the overall trip was horrible. SO much hostility down there when your just trying to have a good time.

Never been to bama thank god.

<?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:eek:ffice:smarttags" /><st1:State><st1:place>Kentucky</st1:place></st1:State> actually has a really nice stadium as far as creature comforts go as does <st1:State><st1:place>Arkansas</st1:place></st1:State>. But there is no way Vandy can be off the bottom. That place looks like a ****** high school stadium. <st1:Street><st1:address>Miss St</st1:address></st1:Street> is not too bad but it's small and is in <st1:City><st1:place>Starkville</st1:place></st1:City> so that alone makes it suck. One of the most overrated places in all of sports is the Grove. A bunch of snobby inbreds who couldn&#8217;t care less about the actual football game and don't give me the "there&#8217;s pretty girls there" because every place you go to in the SEC there are hot females. <?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:eek:ffice:eek:ffice" /><o:p></o:p>
<o:p></o:p>
I have been to every venue in the SEC several times over and here is my list. <o:p></o:p>
(leaving out Neyland to be fair bc it is my fave)<o:p></o:p>
Taking comfort and atmosphere into account.<o:p></o:p>
1. LSU. fans are pricks after you win. I was one of a few for the Monday night comeback and my vehicle was attacked several times trying to leave. <o:p></o:p>
2. UGA. Good atmosphere and for the most part fans are alright and it's not to uncomfortable.<o:p></o:p>
3. <st1:State><st1:place>Arkansas</st1:place></st1:State>. Very nice stadium but I actually prefer going to games in <st1:City><st1:place>Little Rock</st1:place></st1:City>. The stadium is old and not as nice as the one in <st1:City><st1:place>Fayetteville</st1:place></st1:City> but the tailgating is awesome there and the fans are cool to party with. <o:p></o:p>
4. Bryant Denny. I can't stand the fans but it's a great venue for College ball and besides that history has to count for something.<o:p></o:p>
5. <st1:State><st1:place>Kentucky</st1:place></st1:State>. Really nice stadium with good creature comforts. <o:p></o:p>
6. AUB. Just a good all around place to watch college football. It almost has an "after school special" feel about it. <o:p></o:p>
7. Ole Miss. It's nice but it feels more like a cocktail party than a football game party. It's like the football game is an interruption of the snobbish drinks with Buffy and Todd who are really named Sally Sue and Joe Bob but they want to be Ivy League so bad they changed their names and dress like what they think Ivey Leaguers dress like. It would be nice if they actually cared about the game as much as Yale or Harvard fans do. <o:p></o:p>
8.USC. A crowing game cock every 10 seconds is just too much to handle. <o:p></o:p>
9.<st1:State><st1:place>Florida</st1:place></st1:State>. Hot, cramped and full of fans who think SEC football started in the early 90's. Come to think of it maybe Griff is a gator since he seems to have the same problem.<o:p></o:p>
10. Miss St. Small and in <st1:City><st1:place>Starkville</st1:place></st1:City> I think that sums it up.<o:p></o:p>
11. Vandy. Miserable excuse of a college football venue and a poor representative of the SEC and the state of <st1:State><st1:place>Tennessee</st1:place></st1:State>. Plus if it were not for the visiting fans would there even be a tailgating area? <o:p></o:p>

Tuscaloosa is absolutely awful. But I admit I like the stadium. Having a graveyard across the street is a little more than weird, but the stadium itself is quite nice.

Looks about right. Bama/LSU are close, but, when Bryant-Denny expands next year, Bama will be all alone at Numero Uno.

And it will still be in Tuscaloosa, which means that it will be about the fifth or sixth best gameday experience in the SEC at best. If the powers that be down there were really farsighted they would've completely rebuilt Legion Field into a showplace. At least Birmingham offers a few entertainment options other than tipping cows, playing maibox baseball and standing in line for what used to be the third best place to get ribs in the south but is now just a crummy bbq chain.

Legion Field is in an absolutely terrible area of town. Perhaps the worst part of Birmingham.

Titans stadium was in one of the worst parts of Nashville. Sometimes a big public work that attracts all of the community helps to revitalize an area.
