Both excellent. I think that given what All in the Family did with race relations, taking on some tough topics and making them entertaining, you probably have to give them a top spot.

Family Guy is the only one I watch with any regularity... even then, I only catch reruns on Cartoon Network in the middle of the night.

Well, if we are going out of the country, then Monty Python is hands down the single greatest comedy show of all time. Not a true sitcom, in the sense that it was sketch comedy. And then of course that gets you to shows like Kids in the Hall.

And speaking of Canadians made good, let's not forget News Radio or Spin City.

The Office (British and American)

Scrubs

Extras on HBO is pretty funny too.
