Reading the post about the 95 Bama game made me remember one of my favorite plays in UT history. Manning to Kent on the 1st offensive play for a TD. That set the tone and started a UT win streak.

What is your favorite play. Some that come to mind immediately are:
  1. Manning to Kent - 96 Bama
  2. Clint Stoerner Fumble
  3. Eddie Moore destroying UF running back
  4. Tee Martin slips and throws to Peerles Price in NC Game
There are many others, what comes to mind?

Manning to Kent on the 1st play was 95, not 96. And we didn't send the Tide home in tears. It was played at Bama.

While it's not as signifigant as most of these, one of my favorites will always be Wes Brown returning an INT for a TD vs Vanderbilt on his final play in Neyland.

All he fought through to be a Vol was incredible. All the injuries...and to end his career(well, at Neyland stadium anyway) that way was just incredible. He had a defender on his back for the final 5 or 6 yards and still fought his way in to the endzone. You can see it starting at 1:40 in this video:

96 vs Alabama. Game tied. Clock running out because we just ran the ball to play for Overtime. Crowd booing the play calling. Jay Graham goes 75 yards for a TD.

Two minutes left when he scored on 2nd and 12.

Crazy that it was just on.

One that comes to mind that hardly gets any mentoned or thought....basically "The Scramble" by Condredge Holloway against GT 1973

The Artful Dodger - Condredge Holloway - YouTube

Another spectacular play by Condredge that comes to mind was in the '74 Clemson game, which we won 29-28. It may have been on the winning score but I don't recall that with certainty. In any event, it was on a succesful 2-pt. conversion attempt pass to Larry Sievers. Condredge was scrambling like only Condredge can; he retreated to around the 20 yd. line and then hurled a pass off his back foot deep into the corner of the end zone just before being tackled. It was a remarkable display of athleticism by Condredge and just as spectacular a leaping catch by Sievers.

The 51 yard field goal by Wilhoit to beat UF in front of 109,400 in 2004. That is a moment that will never be surpassed.

I was there too, one of the best moments in my life and surpasses anything by far in sports!

second would be Jason Witten touchdown catch against Arkansas in the 6th OT
