Let's not make this into one of those 1995 through 2004 Bama boards, or 1988 through 1999 Georgia boards. Let's take some time away from the blaming and bashing. I'm getting a headache.
Depending on your age, you probably have different favorite moments as a Vol. But besides saying the same ole 1985 or 1998 season, let's give some more rare examples. Mine was going to the Auburn game in 1989, in Neyland, in the rain. The Tigers were ranked 4th in the Nation. But we had the Cobb-Webb. It was raining heavily all day. Early kick-off, but still under the lights. I was a Soph in high school. I remember Cobb running down the right sideline for a TD and a few other big plays. I remember jumping on to our turf after the game because I followed a few other idiots down there. They were all running towards the end zone, taking off at the 10 yard line, and sliding on the wet and puddling turf into the checkerboards. I tried it too. Major mistake. The artificial turf in the endzone ran a different direction than the artificial turf on the playing field. It was like going from > to <. Instead of sliding on through the endzone, I just immediately stopped and got all scabbed up. But it was worth it!!! The quote of that day was when a UT fan, who was arguing with an Auburn fan, yelled, "Johnny Majors will OUTDRINK Pat Dye ANY DAY!!!!"
