Just saw these stats on the top 25 SOS and % chances of winning out. We've played the 3rd hardest SOS to date while Florida has played the 68th hardest SOS.
Notice Florida has the 7th hardest SOS remaining and a 0% chance of winning out. They're the only team in the top 25 that has literally a 0% chance to win out! We play the 74th hardest SOS remaining and while the 13% chance of winning out seems low, I think they're including the conference championship game in that.
Stats look good for us winning the East and getting to Atlanta. GBO!

I think they have to go to Arkansas and the hawgs are starting to get it going...the Vols starts games slow; Arkansas starts seasons slow....they can be tough to be in late October/November

FSU isn't a conference game. Just saying

So you think UF's 0% chance of winning out is only because they play FSU? UF is probably better than FSU this year. I don't think just playing FSU gives them the 7th hardest SOS remaining. C'mon.

Yes, they have to go to Arkansas and to LSU.

If FL beats Arkansas,Georgia, and LSU all basically back to back games...then they deserve to go. That being said...I don't think they will.

I believe FL is overrated this year. I don't think they are better than GA despite the GA Vandy result. However Ga players may be ready to quit on their new coach. I believe LSU gets new life with their new coach and beats FL. By The time FL gets to LSU they will be beat up. The pigs are also capable Of beating them.

The Gators appear to be improving. It would not surprise me at all if they beat UGA, who just lost at home to Vandy. Blow out South Carolina. Then steal games from ARKY & LSU and lose to FSU.

I don't care what the statistics say about Tennessee's remaining schedule. This UT team is seriously handicapped by injuries. If our O-line, LB, and CB play doesn't improve drastically we're gonna drop a game to someone we shouldn't.

Don't give up on GA either, they play the Gators tough every year and they do have the talent to win even though they have not played like it.

One thing about the Florida-LSU game, it won't be lacking intensity and both teams are going to show up pissed-off. In those type of games, I like the better coached team. I think Florida beats LSU in a game that will have some serious bad blood.

Arkansas on the other hand, could be trouble. I don't like the feel of that game at all. And regarding UGA, I think Florida wins that game convincingly.

South Carolina - UF will have that whole Muschamp returning to the Swamp thing going on and I expect Florida to want to beat the hell out of them. But that sometimes makes a team play tight. But I think UF wins that game with superior talent and coaching.

Not really. Muschamp skews the results but even he blew UGA out in his final year 38-20. Florida won 27-3 last year and it wasn't that close.

Of course, Muschamp dropped three straight nail-biters to them, but before that, Florida had won 11 of 13 in the series with scores like 49-10, 41-17, 30-14, 38-7.

I think UF beats UGA in two weeks.

UF's 0% is including potential SEC championship too like ours is I believe.

Orgeron has a history of being a great interim HC. Had SC winning out when they gave the job to Helton which was a mistake IMO. Anyway Orgeron has a booray background the Bayou Bengals and fanbase will suppprt this guy, they destroy UF this year who really just did not want to play and that has been buried deep in their players IMO. If the gators lose to the Hogs and they will, they lay down against LSU IMO.

.

Good post, may be how this plays out. Florida is improving but the offense is still sketchy at times. Scarlett and Perine seem to be emerging from the jumbled RB position as two big play threats, both had long runs v Mizzou and both went over 100 yards. Del Rio looked much better before the injury than he did Saturday, so he's going to need to shake off the rust and find his rhythm again real soon. The defense has looked phenomenal all year except that second half versus UT. Incredibly, Mizzou had 6-straight three-and-outs to start the game versus Florida.

Florida, like most teams, is a little banged-up, especially on defense. Three starting d-linemen have missed time; Sherrit, Ivie and Cox Jr, and now MLB Jarrad Davis has a sprained ankle. They'll definitely need those dudes back versus LSU and Arky.

LSU will be coming off games against Bama and at Arkansas before the play Florida. Those games will be extremely physical and they'll be as beat up as anyone. And LSU plays TexAM the week following the Florida game. That's a helluva tough stretch.

I think LSU is in for a rough ride, possibly beginning with Ole Miss this weekend. That whole "Orgeron interim magic" thing is going to take a serious hit.

You should probably note that their ESPN stats chance of winning out in just the SEC portion of their schedule is 8.3%.

So basically, 12 to 1 odds against.

Vols have a 46.5% chance of winning out their SEC schedule according to ESPN.

I would say that injuries make us more vulnerable than even that number suggests, so this is not a lock by any means.
