Fanhood doesn't stop with a loss but...

How many of you are planning your entire Saturday around watching the games? I mean I will usually stop what I am doing and rearrange my entire day to be in front of the television during football season, but I think apathy has set in for me. I will watch if convenient but it has been one long decade. I can't help but wonder how many more fans won't pay $100 per ticket to drive to Knoxville.

I can not help but feel the crowd is going to dwindle as we reach and get our third and final win of the year. Anything above that will be a pleasant surprise

Normally, Im in front of the TV about 30 minutes before the Vols kickoff but probably wont be this Sat. If weather is permitting I surrender to listening to Bob and Tim describe the massacre and I'll do some much needed yard work......Ive had season tickets for almost 40 yrs but beginning to think its not worth it anymore.....

Been attending a least one game a year for years. This year the thought hasnt crossed my mind. I did consider going to see Navy play cincy.

I gave up on focusing my Saturdays around this program around the time of the SC game in 2016.

Felt at that point Jones wasn't the guy to put them over the top. Small sample size but Pruitt isn't looking like a great candidate for that either.

Before I get accused of being fairweather, I was predicting a win every week in 1988, the year Majors lost 6 in a row to start the season and was thrilled with what they accomplished to finish that season and in 89 when they won the Cotton Bowl.

I watch all the games but dont make as much effort to attend anymore. Turned down free tickets the past two weekends and dont care to burn most of a weekend traveling to watch unmitigated disasters like we saw last Saturday.

I picked up the remote at the start of the 3rd qtr. Held it in one hand and a Pabst in the other. I just can't not watch my vols. come hell or high water I'm watching.

I've planned every Saturday I possibly can around Vols games for well over 30 years. I always find a few players that I can root for no matter how desperate it seems.
This year I am enjoying Banks, JG, J Jennings, Jordan, Kirkland, Taylor, among others. This isnt the best team we have fielded but there are certainly some signs of life among the freshmen. I'll enjoy watching them prosper as their journey continues.

Annnnnd Paul Bain. I can root for this guy knowing that he will most likely never make it to the next level, his dedication deserves mine.

Watch or don't watch it's your choice. I get not wanting to fork out that kind of green to go watch what most would describe as a mediocre team, but I believe that this season is what we need. We're playing our young players, coaching them up, and reconditioning them to become the team we know we can be. At least that's the way I see it. I hope our fanbase doesn't quit on us, but after such an important game and to lose in that way doesn't make it better. GBO

So many “fans” watch their team only when they are winning. That doesn’t make sense. How can you be a fan if you only watch or attend if the team is winning? Do what you want but I say GO VOLS!

I will be watching. Looking for a miracle on Saturdays but I will watch them. I will take my family to a few games a year and pull for the team I love. frustrated ? yes . its tough. my old coach told us once that Sports do not build character- they reveal it..
my only fear is that I'm getting old and I want the Vols football program to have some success before the Good Lord calls me home.
