Help the Vols win. I want to encourage everyone attending a game to make NOISE when our defense is on the field. Everyone needs to contribute. At the Vandy game Saturday, the highest volume the whole night came from Wes Brown's TD. Yeah it was an awesome play, but the Stadium was only half full. 100,000 enthusiastic, bleacher bangers should be crackin' helmets with the decibel level. Let's do it! :clapping:

They thought the game was over. That was a mistake.

I was in section S (vandy) and it was kinda loud but not what it should of been, sometimes you sit among alot of quiet folks and it makes you afraid to yell

Whenever I am fortunate to get a ticket to the UT game, I yell my head off the whole game.
Most of the time it just makes people mad, but sometimes they'll follow and get loud... Mostly depends on age..

I thought that same thing, the crowd was not into the game. Except when the defense ask them to get into yelling.

The Mrs. and I were hoarse the next day from hollering. What's up with everyone leaving at the end of the third quarter? Their loss, they missed one of the coolest plays of the game.

Yeah. I was surrounded by comatose 20-somethings who complained about the "rudeness" of those who yelled too much.

"12th men" dropped the ball. So many people who were there who didn't seem to know or care anything about Tennessee football. Must have been a Give-Your-Tickets-To-Your-Loser-Friend-Of-A-Friend Day.

Well we drove 5 hours to get there, yelled till we lost our voice. Then went and waited @ gate 21 to talk to players and even got to meet and talk to Coach Kiffin. Then drove home to Wayne Co. and I attempted to sing in church after getting all of 3 hours sleep. It was a blast and I always squeeze that Big Orange for everything it's worth when I get the opportunity to make the trip ''up''.....

My 1st game in 3 years to go to. We better become better fans next year. It was embarrassing. I live in Nashville and we were no louder than the Vandy fans!

This was my first game. Vandy was playing no huddle almost the whole game. We could have seriously messed up their rhythm had we gotten loud before they made their play calls. People would make noise after the play call, and that seemed to slow them down on audibles. I won't even get into the student section. Ok, I will. Starting the wave when we're on offense? Cheering loud on our 3rd downs? I think there should be a screening process for people allowed to get tickets.

Our fans get more excited about the wave than the actual game. I HATE the wave while the game is going on. One of the loudest moments of the game was when they got the wave going.

I especially hate it when they start it when we're on offense.

I screamed my head off the entire game. We had you Vandy fans in front of us and we made sure they heard us.

i have attended games since 1977 and this was a very very dead crowd when compared to others i have been a part of.

Sometimes Neylands like going to a movie, broadway play, or an opera or something. Sometimes the same kind of crowds there too. I say oh chap, sit down, I can't see with my opera glasses. Seriously, how does Neyland compare with a pro game (for those that have been to several pro games). Are the crowds louder, more fervent, more reserved, what?

Neyland can rock at times....depending on the opponent....Vandy...being the sphincter of the SEC doesn't exactly stir up a lot of excitement. I think Neyland is very loud at times......I thought it was very loud for the UCLA game and I was in the upper deck. It was incredibly loud the year they beat Cal......IMO when Neyland is rocking it's louder than LP Field in Nashville....but when all you hear is the plane flying overhead with the banner for Ho's China Palace the library is louder

I also noticed them using audibles on almost every play. I was screaming on 1st, 2nd, and 3rd downs. Most of the people around me in section C, lower level looked at me like I was being rude, but all I have to say for them is **** ***. When I get the privilege of going to a game, I am going to scream. It was indeed the quietest I have ever heard Neyland. Come on people. If you care about the Vols and their future, you need to realize their are usually recruits in the stands and how much we get into the game does indeed effect their decision. I also witnessed one of the most classless displays by Big Orange fans I have ever seen. They were actually doing the wave while a Vandy player was laying on the field hurt being attended to by his trainer and staff and didn't stop until it went around the stadium twice after he was hurt. I was stunned to put it mildly.

I was disappointed at the crowd for doing the wave while the Vandy player was lying injured on the ground. I love yelling for my team, but I can do without the wave and the woo.
