Fall Camp Answers

What are some questions you hope get answered as we progress through fall camp? Obviously the qb position and the defense in general but any specifics? I know most things won’t get answered until we take the field but just something to think about.

I’ll start. I’d like to see who’s going to step up and be the “premiere” edge rusher for us.

How much will we rely on the run game?
Any new wrinkles in Heupel's offense?
How much will the unproven DL need help?
How do the new transfers look?
Any new breakout players?

I want to see how much we depend on Bishop. When Nico started, the run game became our life blood bc Nico couldn’t process quick enough and I’m curious if either of these 2 qbs can process and diagnose the defense lightening fast; or if we’ll have to pray every game the run game gets going - which isn’t bad on the surface bc Huepals schemes rely on the run game.

I mean, when you have an All SEC back you rely on them regardless who is under center. I think whoever is under center wont struggle as much as Nico did at processing. That kid had 3 years experience of playing football. George and faizon both have over a decade so the curve shouldn't be as bad.

Assign 3 WR’s to play entirely with Brandon and 3 for Macintyre. Let them get used to each other and let the talent flourish.

Biggest questions I want answered coming out of Fall Camp:

1) Who is the premier patch sponsor?
2) Does said patch look good?
3) Is EVERYONE healthy?
Are we prepared to play Furman?

Obligatory QB competition result. And whether our defense will have a pulse this year. A top 50 defense is worth at least 1 win on our schedule if the offense is competent.
