Real. I have been cutting them down the past few years on a farm in Murfreesboro. The one I cut this year is pretty much dead. The drought screwed up all the trees.

Always grew up having a real tree. This is my first year having a tree in my apartment and its fake. :bad: I would definately have real over fake. I might get real next year because smell is just wonderful and I miss that with this fake tree. I have an ornament that puts off the smell of a real tree, but its still just not the same.

Real tree. Went to a tree farm and we picked out the tree. Different here in central FL. We were getting overheated walking around looking for the tree rather then frostbite. The horror.

fake, but I can see your point for the real one. That smell is pretty cool on Christmas morning. The mess is almost worth it.

how do you tell the difference?

One jiggles and stays in the same position all the time. You can mess around with it, but it always goes back to it's orginal position.

The other sags drastically over time and no matter how you dress it up, eventually it will wilt. They tend to drink heavily too. By the new year, your looking to throw it out. Typically, you always talk about replacing it with a new "Fake" one next year too.
