Remember when Petersen whacked his throwing hand on an opponent’s helmet? Remember how Dobbs was thrown in a little too early? Remember how Dobbs saved Tennessee’s bacon and Jones’ job?

Well, GMac isn’t going to smash his throwing hand into any helmet.

They are both about the same build , arm strength , Tee could get a few yards if need be. I’m not trying to be unfair I could be wrong but wouldn’t it be nice to have a qb here learning getting experience for 3-4 years. We would be a solid team that would be about time for Marshall to show up and maybe be a starter his freshman year. I know I’m just thinking ahead if things went the way l felt but like say say I don’t mean to dog MacIntyre but Tennessee tradition has always been okay te best win the best will want to come here to play.

I got to think after watching the Vols basketball team led by freshmen you don’t bench superstars which is what we may have here.
I see where you're coming from but basketball and football prospects are different worlds.

There are a lot of high school prospects that could go directly to the NBA and start/be a solid player out of the gate albeit some years more than others. That is why you see all the one-and-done players in college basketball.

Majority of elite HS football prospects wouldn't start or make an impact on NFL teams. Of course there are exceptions but I'd guarantee you that all of those exceptions are not QBs. It's the hardest learning curve and the biggest gamble for teams.

If Faizon is a legitimate superstar right now then he will start but rarely we see that from a true true freshman.

I do not think you can compare someone who has yet to take an in-game snap to a past player. Let's see how this plays out and after he has played his final game for Tennessee we can start the comparisons.

I’m puzzled. How could anyone conclude that Tee and Faizon could be similar in any way? They’re both AA, they both will be 2nd string, both have a little wiggle in their step, and Faizon won’t play until GMac goes pro. Obviously I’m being facetious. This is a worthless thread. If Faizon is the QB he’s being pumped up to be, he’ll be a lot better QB than Tee.
