I title this explanation instead of apology because even though im emabarrassed and yes ashamed of my previous comments I know most of you dont want an apology you just want me gone. I had way too much to drink and I had HUGE hopes that the Vols would win out and beat Auburn in the title game in order to obtain the respect that the university deserves and rarely receives. I was severely dissapointed and angry. Be that as it may I posted comments that spoke to that and it was unsportsmanlike and childish. I apologize to everyone I offended because I realize, in hindsight, all fans get dissapointed in their teams performance at times and at times very angry, but then they dont go on a rant talking smack. I also realize I make the site look ignorant by posting these comments as folks from other fan bases see them and considers a lack of solidarity a weakness in vol fans. I hope this explains it a little and I regret posting them.

we all catch foot in mouth disease once in a while....especially when alcohol is involved... speaking for myself apology accepted...just watch that crap about heart ...these kids give their all for this program even if thier all is not acceptable to the fans :ph34r:

:good: Wow, good to read. I know what you were feeling on Saturday, we all were. I was starting to have hopes of getting the one in a million of jumping into the NC. Obviously those hopes are dashed, but the Vols are still a good team, and have really 'manned up' this year. One major disappointment due to two freak injuries, and poor focus is enough to frustrate anyone. Let's just be glad that game wasn't against wahlabama, or south carolina! I figured you were a little lit that night, and I for one would like to see you stay. We can't always "hold the rope" as Franphoney would say... we're human, and mistakes are made! :D

Whoa - you're about the last guy I expected to see back in here. Dan, I give you a lot of credit for coming back and setting things straight like this. We've all posted things that we wished we hadn't. I'd say your having to see those posts still sitting there is punishment enough. :D

I believe I was very drunk after the loss and never belittled our team,except for Clausens ghostly reciever.I would like to post how I really feel about your comments Dan,but I won't.I see some of the guys are accepting your so called apology,so you better remember if your going to be part of this great website ,ya better watch ya p's and q's.

Maybe you guys ought to be more like Otis and instead of Posting Under the Influence go check yourself into the jail and wait for Aunt Bee to bring you biscuits in the morning.

Don't feel bad, Dan. I picked Georgia to beat Tennessee in the pick'ems when we played the dawgs. I knew your orange blood would win out.

Dan, good to hear you came out of your "I hate the vols" coma. :idea: We are all human and make mistakes,but........well.......i'm not going to preach, your a grown man.
I live and die with my teams also, after the Auburn loss I didn't visit this site for a week or so. :banghead:

Hey Dan,I think you suffered enough.While I didn't like what you posted as well as alot of us,we have all felt the way you feel some way or the other.I think you enjoy coming in here and we are glad to have you.Just keep in mind that most of us in here are die-hard Vol fans.

I am too... I died a lil after the ND game. However if the Vols can win out and beat a hopefully undefeated war eagle team things could turn out pretty good. Im thinkin we'll end up playin michigan in the capital1 bowl.
