What are realistic expectations for the 2009 Volunteers?

It is realistic to expect our team to win all non-conference games. The SEC is the best conference hands down...we have proven that over and over.

It is realistic to expect us to score more than 15 points against any defense.

It is realistic to expect a better season than last season.

It is realistic to expect our QB to be a leader and handle pressure...this is NCAA division I...at this level a QB has to perform...always.

It is realistic to expect our coaches to step in when our QB doesn't perform.

It is realistic to expect our OL to allow us to score a TD (on anybody) when they start with a first and goal.

It is realistic to expect GREAT defense (thank God we have this).

It is realistic to expect lots of hate from the other teams in and out of conference.

It is realistic to expect a bowl game this season.

The fans deserve better than what we got on Saturday.

If the offense plays like it did against UCLA then realistic is maybe another win or two. If they play like they are capable of playing, then a few more wins. The defense is really, really good.

I have 2 key expectations:
- Play physical. Its the one thing Kiffin promised. We have seen this on defense for sure.
- Better QB play by year end. If we can do that and beat SC and Aub then I would consider season a success

i'm saying 7 and 5 at best; my thing was to get my earlier 8-4 at best scenario (w/ things like good QB play being a necessity)...we had needed to beat UCLA

we have several of those; they're the guys screaming "STANFORD BEAT USC! THAT MEANS WE CAN BEAT FLORDIA!!!!! :crazy:" or "UT IS DEFINITELY GOING TO BEAT FLORIDA" that are every fourth or fifth thread it seems.

Honestly, the really negative guys are the one's calling us 4 or 5 win team right now
