This program is historically nowhere near as great as many of you think it is.

Last year, Forbes estimated that the Tennessee Volunteers football program was worth $121 million. That was good for 3rd in the country. No other SEC was valued more highly than the Vols. Tennessee spends the 2nd most money in recruiting of any college football program. Only Auburn spends more in the country and the SEC.
Tennessee's Neyland Stadium is the 5th largest college football stadium in the country, and only Texas A&M is larger in the SEC. In 2015, Tennessee had the 6th highest average home attendance in college football. Only Alabama, Texas A&M and LSU had more in the SEC.
