I think its high time Johnny Majors is offered the AD job at The University of Tennessee, in secret of course, but he should be offered. If Joe Pa can coach at 83 surely Johnny can be AD .I read an article where Fulmer exchanged nearly 30 phone calls to AD Dickey and President Johnson combined while hospitalized. I seriously wish Fulmer would have never been coach now. At first I was okay to say he stayed a few years too long but now he and Hamilton both are no longer needed ……..AT ALL..

what makes johnny majors capable or qualified of being the AD? just curious

there are other sports that he'll be responsible for other than football....

Johnny will be in a nursing home in 5 years. No way he is qualified nor does he have the capabilty to do the job. The job requires working late and getting up early 24/7, something that I don't envision Johnny doing.

Old people wake up early, they just take about 3 naps through the day and go to bed at 8:30.

i was a young lad, when all the phillip fulmer and majors stuff went down, but i feel for majors. they should at least honor him permantly in some way before he dies. heckphil has his own street.

How much coaching do you think Joe Pa is doing? The guy is just the face of the program at this point. Johnny is too old to be AD even if he were qualified.

Perfect example why fans should be fans. There is a reason they don't take a fan poll of who we should vote in as our AD.

Not many involved with the program would be opposed to honoring the legacy of Majors, however giving him such an important and difficult position is not one of them.

Majors is 75 yrs old.
He's not going to be interested in working at that age.

She'd probably be more interested in being women's AD to oversee the Lady Vols.

Majors can't be the AD....age is definitely as issue here

And Evans did hire Fox who is turning their basketball program around....kinda like Pearl did here

Its funny hearing about all the fans that feel sorry for Coach Majors. I doubt many know what, why and how it happened. Coach Majors did most of it to himself. If the media were like they are today back then, man would it be embarrassing. As good of a coach as he was, he was an even better drunk. Not a good spirited drunk, but a mean drunk. His drinking wasn't limited to just his off time.

This post is funny.

If majors stayed sober, went to law school, mended fences with major donors who he burned and lost 25 years from his age he would be awesome.
