Not one of those times, Pimo. Sunday was a good day.

We’re also the reason that buffoon Schiano isn’t our head coach right now. You’re welcome.

Why is it that only UT fans think that guy could not coach. I would rather believe the words of the coaches of the Patriots and Buckeyes when it comes to his ability to coach.

Remember that at this point whoever we hire as a coach will command a HUGE buyout. The actions taken have given every coach out there leverage on that and the more people say no them more leverage the next guy in line has.

I would tell you chin2sack, but apparently that wouldn't offend.

SIAP but Sunday was not a good day. However, a host of people including fans and others prevented from being a really bad day instead of just the bad day it was.

We prevented the entire house from being burnt down by sacrificing part of it.

Had Currie done his job Sunday could have been a good day.

I needed Sunday. It finally let me know for sure that they don’t care about winning. Makes it easier for me to quit spending thousands each year on tickets and gear. I hope they find their way and win, and will continue to follow, but I sat at every single home game and numerous away games since ‘07 and I won’t continue until they get something worth coming back for.

You are correct in thought its execution that failed. there are ways to do this and express that without making an arse of yourself.

Sunday was the equivalent of JJ's twitter rant. I get what the guy meant and don't think him a primadonna but he did it wrong. So he is gone, for now. I blame this all on the man at 1600 Pennsylvania
Doubling down on stupid I see.

So say nothing and just let the same people make the same type of decisions based on the same ideas and philosophies that have lead us to this point continue to lead our program into the future?

Genius friend, genius

Sunday was a great day. Blaming the fans for standing up to another horrible decision is stupid. Stupidity is not a virtue. The fans are hero's. Your post is a zero.

This is so misguided

1- We're one of the most profitable athletic departments in the country. Money has never been an issue. Our AD's have just been cheap.
2-The idea of UT being a "toxic" fanbase is ridiculous. We demand greatness, not mediocrity. Go root for Vandy if you want to be mediocre at best.
3-You're right. The UT admin is toxic and needs to be flushed down the toilet to be where it belongs.
4-Go Vols!

I rather look at his win-lose record...I don't care about what his bias peers say...Burn

What are they supposed to say in public? Maybe do some research on your own instead of just taking people's word for it? He was marginally successful at Rutgers (68-67 after Miami and Virginia tech had already left for the acc), NFL scouts hated him, he convinced the university to take money away from the AD to give him an interest free loan to build a house on a nature preserve, nfl players HATED him to the point of voting him the most disliked coach in the league, and he had to go get a job for a HS team after these failures because nobody wanted him.

He is a coordinator, not a good HC, and a massive jerk on top of that

Yeah, they would.

It’s a price Tennessee fans may or may not willing to pay, that’s another debate.

However, Tennessee is going to overpay on this hire.

You’d have to be a moron to take a job that clearly the administration doesn’t want you to have or the fan base doesn’t want you to have.

It’s not even arguable.

It’s like the Seinfeld episode where George Costanza claims he figured out a way to trade for Bonds and Griffey and they wouldn’t even have to give up that much.

The new coach is going to want protection in the contract

I don't think you understand what's happening. Coaches are not signing because we have an internal civil war playing out between VERY wealthy boosters and a corrupt AD controlled by one booster - Jimmy Haslam. Coaches realize the lame duck Currie has no credibility, but is desperate to fill the coaching vacancy.

What happened Sunday was a shot across the bow sparking civil war between Haslam /Currie and Fans/Boosters. Informed fans are not hoping for Currie to settle on some crappy coach to stop the drama. Currie needs to be stopped. We we are in a far better position if Currie steps aside and Tennessee boosters finish the deal to hire a winner. Tennessee boosters are loaded with money to make a great hire. Haslem & Currie are the obstacles to stability and a great hire. The boosters with money need Currie and Haslam to step out of their way.

Yeah I guess we were supposed to stroll the depths of hell with Schiano for the next four years just to make everybody but ourselves happy…🙌
